Seattle: Seattle police say one suspect has been arrested and they are searching for another following a shooting on Sunday at a crowded food festival that killed three people.
Assistant Chief Tyrone Davis said detectives don't have any description on the outstanding suspect. Investigators believe the two were shooting at each other and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The gunfire erupted around 6 pm in the waning hours of the Bite of Seattle, an annual festival that draws hundreds of food and retail vendors and performers.
Three people died and four others were wounded and are in stable condition at a hospital, officials said.
The gunfire erupted around 6 p.m. at Seattle Centre during the Bite of Seattle festival, which was being held over the weekend.
Harborview Medical Centre admitted victims, including a toddler, a 23-year-old man and two women. One patient was in critical condition, a hospital spokesperson said.
A large number of police and emergency crews responded to the scene and began evacuating the area.
